TukTuk Tour
With the goal of making Taco Bell UK the ultimate student hotspot post-freshers, we created the Taco Tuk Tuk Tour—a dynamic, late-night activation that delivered convenience, buzz, and unforgettable experiences to students in five major university cities.
The campaign tapped into key nightlife moments, parking a glowing purple Tuk Tuk outside popular student clubs to transport revellers to their nearest Taco Bell for free Crunchy Tacos. This playful twist on late-night transport encouraged app downloads, drove restaurant footfall, and positioned Taco Bell as the perfect post-club destination.
The Tuk Tuks, decked out in Taco Bell’s signature purple and late-night gradient with vibrant lighting and music, became an instant social-media-friendly icon. Brand ambassadors stationed at club exits engaged with club-goers, encouraging app downloads in exchange for wristbands granting free rides and Taco Tokens.
In-restaurant, students redeemed Crunchy Tacos and exclusive Recovery Kits packed with hydration sachets, eye masks, and churros vouchers—perfect for curing the morning-after blues.
The Taco Tuk Tuk Tour exceeded expectations across all KPIs, driving significant brand awareness and loyalty. Liverpool, Cardiff, and Bristol were standout locations, with queues of students eager to hop on the Tuk Tuk or walk to the store. The campaign drove 1,817 app downloads, smashing targets at 211% of the KPI. Total venue footfall reached 4,273, with over 1,193 Crunchy Tacos redeemed in-restaurant.
