WE ARE SEED
WE ARE SEED #1
As a Student Marketing Agency we get a lot of interest from young people wanting to know how to get into the industry and what it's like working at Seed so we're launching this new feature to share insight into our dedicated and lively team.
We're kicking off with our BRILLIANT Interns, who started their 6 month placements working from home in the midddle of the lockdown. This was no easy feat but their input and drive has been second to none. Below, they talk us through their learnings from 2020 and optimism for 2021.
Our 3 - 9 month internship is open to students on a placement year, graduates and all 18 - 24 year olds who are interested in gaining some solid agency work experience.

What are you wearing today?
I'm rocking a lovely Nike Trackie Bottoms with a Knitted Jumper combo, as I'm always freezing.
Talk us through your work space
We currently have 4 people all working from home in my house, so my workspace is usually wherever there is a free quiet room. My workspace consists of a million tabs open on my laptop accompanied by a small note pad. You can usually find my dog Lola by my side also.
How did you get the job at Seed?
I was introduced to Seed through their sibling agency Amplify. After following Seed on Instagram and regularly seeing the exciting campaigns they created I applied for the placement internship. I attended an assessment day in London and had an online interview.
What is your biggest learning from your internship at Seed so far?
Definitely prioritising and time management. This is super important when working from home as generally all the days merge into one and it's easy to lose track of time.
Have you got any advice for others who are starting a new job and working from home?
Ask lots of questions!! Especially when starting a role from home, sometimes you can feel on your own, and find it hard to know when is the right time to ask questions, but any time is the right time.
What have you learnt from these unprecedented times?
A positive mindset is key, sometimes be silly, or do something fun for 5 minutes just to boost your mood. Also friends and family are everything.
What are you most looking forward to when the Panny D ends?
Getting my foodie fix and being able to go out for dinner and Aperol Spritzes again.
What was your social media highlight of 2020?
The many GIFS of Vernon Kay in the I'm a Celeb shower on my feed😍

What are you wearing today?
I must be honest I am still in my pjs.. just chucked on a jumper so people don’t think I’m being super lazy. The perks of working from home! Some people may say business in the front party in the back ;)
How did you get the job at Seed?
I saw Seed advertise the role on LinkedIn, sent my application off and got contacted for a virtual interview. I was set a project brief and created a presentation for a spin class rave for Gym Shark that promoted body confidence.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently working on recruitment for our term 2 Prime Student Campaign. Lots of emailing and interviewing going on. I'm super busy!
What is your biggest learning from your internship at Seed so far?
Where do I even begin? I would say the biggest thing I have learnt is that I can't do everything myself. I am one of those people that likes to get things done all by myself and I never used to like asking for help. However, team work really does make the dream work and working at Seed has definitely taught me that! I've been so lucky to be given the opportunity to work with such amazing people that all pitch in together to make these campaigns work so well.
Have you got any advice for others who are starting a new job and working from home?
Working from home in a new job is especially difficult so don't be afriad to ask lots of questions. Asking questions shows you want to get things right! I also would say to get out of the house for an hour or so, fresh air does me the world of good if i am feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
What are you most looking forward to when the Panny D ends?
I am looking forward to going out with my friends for sure. A bottomless brunch is WELL OVERDUE!
What positivity do you think 2021 will bring to your life?
I am hoping 2021 will bring me happiness and success. I am feeling really positive this year so fingers crossed 2021 will be one to remember.
What was your social media highlight of 2020?
I use TikTok so much and find it so funny and before lockdown I had never heard of it. So I would say that my social media highlight would be downloading it, even though i spend way too much time on it lol.
